The success of our program is due to our remarkable Host Families. You are an essential part of creating leaders for a better tomorrow through the personal relationship, language and cultural immersion home stay offers. While hosting an international student, you gain a new son, daughter, sister, or brother with whom you share your culture.
Our students typically stay for the duration of the school year, from the end of August through mid-June. At times, we have students who arrive in January and start mid school year. We use all requested information when considering potential host families for our students, so please make sure the application materials are complete. If we do not currently have a student in need of a host family in your area, we ask like to keep prospective families on file because the number of students who arrive each semester fluctuates. Currently, most of our students are from China. We do however place students from Korea, Africa, Vietnam, Laos, and Mexico. As we grow, we will be serving students from all over the world. Our students are in high school and desire quality educations from private schools. The main goal of our students is to eventually attend a top notch College or University in America.
As a Host Family, you would have four main responsibilities:
Once you join the AnB Education family and are successfully matched with your student, AnB Education staff provide orientation for you and your student. Our bilingual staffs are available 24-7 in case of an emergency, and our local coordinators support you and your student's communication throughout the program. Students provide for all their own financial needs, and host families are supported with a generous monthly reimbursement. Our students also have their own travelers and health insurance.
